Does the job: this case has protected my phone better than pretty much every other case out there. There is another case that is basically the same thing but a different brand, and it’s got the same features/drawbacks but doesn’t come with the belt clip holster.
My phone is wonderful for getting high quality video, but why they made it with a ridiculously fragile SLIPPERY glass front and back, I will never understand. This case has saved my phone so many times, I am so, so glad I put it on as soon as I got the phone.
The downsides of this case:
1) the clear plastic does get scratched up as time goes on. I’ve had mine about a year, but the scratches don’t get in the way of me using the screen, so it’s a minor nuisance. It would be nice if that didn’t happen though.
2) when I use the phone as a phone, frequently people on the other end say either I sound like I’m underwater OR there’s a terrible echo. I’ve figured out they are hearing their own voice bounced back to them, because the case acts like a bubble around the phone (usually that’s great!). When their voice comes out of the speaker, it gets bounced back in through the mic right away. Impossible to carry on a conversation like that. As a solopreneur answering inquiry calls from potential customers, this stresses me out.
I can’t see a way around this other than either opening the rubbery charging “door” on the case to let some of the sound out, or use my ear buds. Opening the charging port only kind of works sometimes. I’ve managed to pry open the bottom of the case and that works, but is annoying. The earbud solution is great, but I have to have them handy if someone calls, and that is not always possible for me. However, if I want the phone to be impervious to dust and water, I don’t think I have much choice about it. It’s a stalemate – to keep bad stuff out, the sounds stay in.
I work outside with large animals for a living, in a region where the weather is really variable, so until getting a water/dust/shockproof case, my phones always got beat up pretty bad. My last phone had a “rugged” case on it that didn’t protect the screen, and a crack went straight through the fingerprint reader. Now my phone looks like the day I bought it over a year later, even though I hardly ever see the whole thing without its armor. But that’s OK, I don’t care about the beauty of it as long as it’s not cracked or damaged beyond use.

The case is very sturdy and durable. My only negative comment is that both plastic covers leave fingerprints and marks.

Nicely made, I’ve had similar cases but this one is much better quality, very pleased, the holster is a plus, previous IP 68 Cases didn’t come with a belt case. The first case I received was damaged, I contacted Encased and they sent a replacement, no charge immediately! Great customer service, will recommend to all my friends!
