Overall, I very much like this case. It’s real similar to the Otter Box Defender, but at a fraction of the cost. That being said, there are some “Cons”. Cons: in putting the iPhone into the holster w/ the “Home” & Volume buttons each hugging either side of the raised ridge of about a quarter inch, which extends to the halfway point of the holster (on the side of the holster opposite the adjustable “lever” type thing), I’ve inadvertently notified the folks who respond to 911 calls & my sister (who is listed under iPhone’s Health section as my emergency contact) that I was “having an emergency”. Apparently, squeezing the Home button & one of the volume buttons for an extended time triggers 911/one’s emergency contact being contacted. Apparently, the iPhone squeezes into the holster so snugly that it’s as if one is pressing these simultaneously. Also: I am unable to get the phone to charge, while in the case, using my MagSafe Apple charger (couldn’t get it to work w/ the phone in OtterBox Defender either, so I’m considering this an Apple issue, & will be returning my Apple MagSafe charger ASAP (I’m good just plugging the device in “the old fashioned way” anyway!). If Encased tells the end user about the correct placement of the iPhone so 911 isn’t contacted, I’d consider upping my rating to 5 stars. The 911 folks are very busy w/ life threatening situations, so bothering them unnecessarily is not right!
